Summary

I offer private, one-on-one AI sessions, live on Zoom. I keep data collection minimal. This page covers what I collect, how I use it, and what choices you have.

In plain language

  • I don't sell your information.
  • I keep data collection to a minimum.
  • You can ask me to delete your information at any time.

Information I collect

Depending on how you contact or book, I may collect:

  • Contact information: your name (optional) and email address.
  • Scheduling details: the time you book and any notes you include.
  • Session logistics: Zoom meeting details and basic technical notes (to help you succeed).
  • Session transcripts and notes: if transcription is enabled with your consent, the spoken conversation converted into text and any notes or summaries created from it.

Note: You never need to send sensitive documents to me. We can work from redacted, anonymized, or substitute material, and prudent handling of confidential information is part of what's taught.

How I use your information

I use your information to:

  • Reply to your messages and questions
  • Schedule and run sessions
  • Provide support (for example, helping you get Zoom working)
  • Improve my teaching
  • Create session notes or follow-up materials when transcription has been enabled with your consent

Session transcription and recordings

Sessions are not audio- or video-recorded by default. With your advance knowledge and consent, I may use a transcription service to convert the spoken conversation into a written transcript and create private session notes or summaries. You may decline transcription or ask me to stop it at any time without affecting your session.

Transcripts may include personal, professional, or confidential information discussed during the session. They are used only for session notes, follow-up, and continuity. I do not publish transcripts or use them for advertising, testimonials, or unrelated purposes.

Any separate audio or video recording requires explicit advance agreement for a stated purpose.

When I share information

I share limited information with the services I use to run the business:

  • Microsoft 365 — email
  • Zoom — video sessions
  • Calendly — booking and scheduling
  • Stripe — payments for sessions are processed through Calendly and Stripe. Stripe may collect and process payment, contact, and transaction information under its own privacy practices. KAI does not receive or store full payment card numbers.
  • Cloudflare — website delivery, security, and analytics

If I begin using a third-party transcription provider, I will identify that provider in this policy before using it in a session.

These providers process information on my behalf to deliver the service. I may also share information if required by law, or to protect safety and prevent fraud.

Cookies & website tracking

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand basic website usage and performance. Cloudflare states that this service does not collect or use visitors' personal data and does not track individual visitors across websites.

Retention

I keep different types of information for different lengths of time:

  • Transcripts and generated notes: deleted within 30 days unless you request earlier deletion or we agree in advance to retain them longer. I do not retain a separate audio or video recording unless we have explicitly agreed to one.
  • Business records (your name, email, session history, scheduling notes): kept for as long as the relationship is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and service purposes.

If you'd like me to delete your information, just ask. I'll remove what I can, noting any records I'm required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Your choices

  • You can ask what information I have about you.
  • You can request corrections.
  • You can request deletion (subject to any legal or accounting obligations).
  • You can decline transcription, ask me to stop it during a session, and request deletion of an existing transcript, subject to any legal or accounting obligations.
  • You can decline any request to make a separate audio or video recording.

California residents: You may have additional rights under California privacy law, including the right to know what personal information I've collected and the right to request deletion. Contact me at the address below to exercise these rights.

Security

No system is perfect, but I use reasonable security practices for a small business. If you ever suspect an issue, contact me and I'll take it seriously.

Children

This service is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
